Most root canal procedures are performed in office. When a tooth’s pulp becomes infected a root canal is needed to remove the infection which often eliminates pain and allows the tooth to be saved. The process involves making a small access on the top of the tooth, then removing the infected pulp and disinfecting the canal. The canal is then shaped and a rubber-like material is placed to prevent infection from reoccurring in the canal. To learn more click here.
